Ocelle Bangle
The emblematic piece of the house. An open bangle in solid gold, round in section, whose meeting point carries a plate engraved in a fan — fine lines radiating around an emerald cabochon. This is the ocelle: the eye that closes the peacock's feather, and the emblem of Carron Olivier.
The bangle is not hollow. It is turned from solid stock, then engraved by hand before setting — which explains its weight and the dull note it gives when set down. Open at the back, it slips over the wrist and is tightened slightly by hand.
The stone
Lab-created emerald, 3 mm round cabochon, bezel-set at the centre of the engraved plate.
The work
Fan engraving on a 20 mm oval plate, mirror polish along the full length of the bangle. Solid gold, hallmarked at the chosen carat — about 9.8 g in 14 carat.
