This policy describes how Carron Olivier, Rue du Mont-Blanc 5, 1201 Geneva, Switzerland, processes the personal data of visitors to and customers of carronolivier.com.
It is drawn up in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act of 25 September 2020 on Data Protection (FADP) and its implementing ordinance. For persons located in the European Union, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) applies by virtue of its art. 3(2).

2. Data processed
- Order and invoicing data: surname, first name, postal address, delivery address, email address, telephone number, items ordered, amount, date.
- Payment data: the card number is never collected or stored by us. It is processed directly by the payment provider; we receive only confirmation of the transaction and the last four digits of the card.
- Account data, where you create an account: credentials and preferences.
- Correspondence: the content of the messages you send us.
- Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, source of the visit, session duration.
- Ring size and engraving details, where necessary to fulfil the order.
We do not process sensitive personal data within the meaning of art. 5 let. c FADP and take no automated individual decisions producing legal effects.

4. Recipients
Your data are disclosed only to the providers involved in fulfilling the order, and only so far as necessary:
- Shopify International Limited (Ireland) — hosting of the shop and order processing;
- the payment providers involved at checkout;
- the carriers and their customs agents, for delivery and customs clearance;
- the workshop carrying out manufacture and setting;
- our legal and accounting advisers, and the authorities where the law so requires.
No data are sold or rented to third parties.
5. Transfers abroad
Certain providers are established outside Switzerland, in particular in the European Union and the United States. Transfers to a State not benefiting from an adequacy decision of the Swiss Federal Council or the European Commission are governed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, recognised by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, supplemented where appropriate by additional safeguards.
6. Retention periods
- Order and invoicing data: ten years from the close of the financial year, in accordance with art. 958f CO.
- Account data: until the account is deleted, then erased within thirty days subject to retention obligations.
- Correspondence: three years from the last exchange.
- Audience measurement data: thirteen months at most.
- Address registered for the newsletter: until consent is withdrawn.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access your data (art. 25 FADP; art. 15 GDPR), to request their rectification (art. 32 FADP; art. 16 GDPR) or erasure (art. 17 GDPR), to obtain their release or transfer in a common format (art. 28 FADP; art. 20 GDPR), to object to processing based on a legitimate interest or to request its restriction (art. 18 and 21 GDPR), and to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

8. Commercial communications
We send our newsletter only to those who have subscribed to it. Every message contains an immediate unsubscribe link. In accordance with art. 3(1)(o) of the Swiss Federal Act against Unfair Competition, each message states a valid address at which further mailings may be refused.
9. Security
The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Access to order data is limited to those who need it. As no measure guarantees absolute security, we invite you not to send us confidential information through unprotected channels.
10. Amendment of this policy
We may adapt this policy to reflect changes in our processing or in the legal framework. The version in force is the one published on this page.
