Thirty days to change your mind
Because every piece is made to order and chosen on a screen, the house grants a contractual right of return of thirty days from receipt of the order. This right is granted voluntarily: purchases made on a website are not subject to the statutory right of revocation under art. 40a ff. of the Swiss Code of Obligations, whose scope is limited to the situations listed in art. 40b CO.
Returns are free. We cover the cost of return carriage and transit insurance from Switzerland, Liechtenstein, the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Conditions
To be taken back, the piece must reach us:
- in its original condition, worn no more than for a fitting, without scratches or distortion;
- in its original case, with the certificate of composition and, where applicable, the IGI certificate for the centre stone;
- within thirty days of receipt, the date of handover to the carrier being decisive.
Loss of the IGI certificate for a lab-grown diamond gives rise to a deduction equal to the cost of replacing it, which is communicated to you before any refund.
Pieces not taken back
Excluded from the right of return, except in the case of a defect:
- pieces engraved at the customer's request (initials, date, text);
- pieces made to measure or altered to the customer's own specifications, other than simple ring sizing;
- pieces visibly worn, damaged, recut or repaired by a third party.
Ring sizing carried out by us during manufacture does not prevent a return.
How to proceed
- Write to us at carronetolivier@gmail.com giving your order number and the piece concerned.
- Within two working days we send you a prepaid, insured return label together with packing instructions.
- Hand the parcel to the carrier indicated within the thirty-day period. Never send a piece without a return label and insurance: unannounced shipments travel at the sender's risk and may be refused.
Refund
The refund is made within ten working days of the piece being received and checked at the workshop, to the means of payment used for the order. The amount refunded is the price paid, including the original delivery charge.
Where payment was made in a currency other than the Swiss franc, the refund is made in that same currency; any difference arising from exchange rate movement between purchase and refund cannot be attributed to us.
Customs duties and import taxes paid by the customer on delivery are not passed on to us and therefore cannot be refunded by us. Depending on the country, they may be reclaimed from the customs administration concerned on production of proof of re-exportation, which we supply on request.
Exchange
An exchange for another piece, another size or another gold carat is possible within the same thirty-day period and on the same conditions. Any price difference is charged or refunded. The making time for the replacement piece runs from receipt of the returned piece.
Defective or non-conforming piece
If the piece is defective, the statutory warranty against defects applies independently of this right of return. It becomes time-barred two years after delivery (art. 210 para. 1 CO). Notify us of the defect without delay on discovering it (art. 201 CO): we arrange collection at our expense and, at our option, repair, replace or refund.
Customers in the European Union
Customers resident in the European Union benefit from the fourteen-day right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU. The thirty-day right of return granted here is wider and applies in its place where it is more favourable; mandatory rights under Union law are reserved.
